Approving Requests

 

If you are an approver for a pending request, you can approve the request from the Requests application.

Note: If a request is resubmitted for approval, all original approvers of the request are notified and required to approve it again. Resubmitted requests that did not originally require approval can be approved by any single enterprise user who has approval permission.

Approved requests have an Approval Status of Approved. For more information, see Workspace State and Approval Status - Overview.

To approve a Request:

  1. Open the Request application.
    A list of the requests you have permission to view displays.
  2. Click the Actions icon next to the name of the request you want to approve and select Approve Request to open the Approve or Decline Request window.
    Note: You can also click on the name of a request to open the Request Details window, then click the Actions tab and select Approve Request to open the Approve or Decline Request window. 
  3. The Approve or Decline list defaults to Approve.
  4. To include a message with the approval, type the message in the Comments box.
  5. To send notifications about the approval to the reviewers of the request, select Notify All Reviewers.
  6. Click Save to approve the request, or Cancel to cancel the approval.
    If you cancel the approval, the request remains in the same state as before you began the approval.
