The Create <item> window opens when you click a link or command to create an application item such as a new issue or task. The window is similar to the Item Details window but includes fields for you to enter details about the item you are creating, and unlike the Item Details window, the Create <item> window does not have any tabs.
Important: You must configure your browser to allow pop-up windows for your Changepoint PPM web site. Changepoint PPM uses pop-up windows to display Item Details. If your browser does not allow pop-up windows for the web site, you will not be able to access all features of PPM.
Often you choose a folder for the item you are creating (the location of the item), as well as giving the item a name and description. If you are a member of more than one workspace and are creating the item from one of the global applications, you may also need to choose which workspace you are creating the item in. If the item is one you assign team members to, you can do that in the Create <item> window, as well as designating who will get notified about the item, and who will have permission to view it.
