If you no longer need an , you can delete
the folder to keep your folder hierarchy simple and clear.
Important: When you
delete a folder, any items it contains are also deleted. If you are deleting
a folder but do not want to delete the items it contains, move the items
into another folder before you delete the folder. For more information,
see Moving Application
Items into Folders.
TO delete A FOLDER:
- in which you want to delete a folder.
- On the Workspace Menu, open
the Folder View of the application for which you want to delete a folder.
For example, if you are going to delete a folder from workspace Documents,
click Documents, then click Folder View.
- In the folder structure,
click the name of the folder you want to delete.
Any items still contained in the folder are displayed to the right
of the folder hierarchy. If you do not want to delete the items in the
folder, move them
to another folder or to the default (root) file cabinet.
- With the folder you want
to delete selected, click Delete
above the folder hierarchy.
A confirmation message appears.
Note: You cannot delete the default file cabinet labeled with
the application name.
- Click Yes.
The folder is deleted from the hierarchy, along with any items it contained.
