Downloading a Document

 

One of the most powerful capabilities of PPM is the ability it provides for team members to collaborate on workspace documents.

Team members can download and read documents that have been added to their workspace.

With appropriate permission (Create, Edit and Delete All Documents), a member can edit the downloaded document and upload a revised version. For more information see, Uploading Documents.

TO download a DOCUMENT:

  1. Open the Documents application.
    Note:
    You can also download a document in the workspace-level Documents application.
  2. Click the Actions icon next to the document you want to download, then click Download.
    Note:
    If you want to check the document out so no team members will make changes to it while you in working on it, click Check Out Document. For more information, see Checking Documents Out.
  3. Depending on the type of document you are downloading, the document may open in your browser, or you may be prompted to Open or Save the document:
  4. Click Open to view the document without saving it to your local computer.
  5. Click Save to save the document to your local computer. After saving the document, you can open it.
