Editing a Request Profile

If you are an approver or a reviewer of a request, and the request still has an workspace State of Request, you can edit the profile of the request, including updating the workspace name and description.

Note: The actions you can perform on a request are determined by your enterprise role, the relationship you have to a request (if you are assigned as an approver or a reviewer of the request), and by the workspace State and Approval Status of the request. If you do not see an Edit Profile option, you do not have permission to edit the request, or the workspace has already been generated.

To edit the Profile of a Request:

  1. Open the Request application.
A list of the requests you have permission to view displays.
  2. Click the Actions icon next to the name of the request for which you want to edit details and select Edit Profile to open the Edit Profile window.
    Note:
You can also click on the name of a request to open the request Profile window, then click the Actions tab and select Edit Profile to open the Edit Profile window.
  3. Type any changes to the Name of the request.
  4. Type any changes or additions to the request Description.
  5. If the workspace has a defined time period, to change the Planned Start or Planned Finish date, type the new date in the appropriate box, or click on the calendar icon and select a date from the calendar.
  6. To update the budget, type the new Budget.
  7. To change the priority , select the new priority from the Priority list.
  8. To update estimated expenses, type the new value of Estimated Expenses.
Estimated expenses are the non-labor expenses of a workspace.

The Estimated Expenses value is used by PPM to automatically calculate Total Estimated Cost (Estimated Expenses + Estimated Labor Cost = Total Estimated Cost).
  9. Make any other changes necessary. You may need to add information to custom fields that were included when the request type was defined by your PPM administrator.
  10. Click Save to save the changes to the request, or Cancel to discard the changes.
