Permanently Deleting Items

In many PPM applications, when you delete an item, the item is moved to the Recycle Bin. Once in the Recycle Bin, an item is retained for the length of time specified by your PPM enterprise configuration (configured by your PPM Administrator).

If you have the Delete Own Items from Recycle Bin permission, you can permanently delete application items that you have moved to the Recycle Bin. When you delete an item from the Recycle Bin, the item cannot be recovered.

Important: In certain applications (Tasks and Notifications for example) when you delete an item, the item is permanently deleted rather than moved to the Recycle Bin. If an application item is going to be permanently deleted, you are prompted with a confirmation message.

If you click Yes to delete the item, it cannot be recovered.

To permanently delete an item from the Recycle Bin:

Open the Recycle Bin.
Select the item you want to delete.
From the Checked Item Actions list, click Permanently Delete Item.
