Updating Workspace Status From the Portfolio Application

 

As an executive, you can update the status of a workspace to change the current budget and overall health of the workspace and include general comments about the status. You can also use either of the following methods to update workspace status in PPM:

Updating status also updates calculated data displayed in the Status pane of Workspace Home like Total Actual Labor Cost and Total Actual Work. You can view each Status Update in the Status History, giving you the ability to see the changing status of the workspace over time.

Note: The Planned Labor Cost and Planned Labor Revenue fields are calculated whenever the task schedule is updated or billing rates are changed. The Update Status window will always display the results of the last completed calculation. If a change causes a recalculation, the results will not be reflected in the Update Status window until the calculations are complete.

TO Update workspace Status from the Portfolio application:

  1. On the Scorecard View (the default list of workspaces), for the workspace whose status you want to update, click the Actions menu and Update Workspace Status.

    The Update Status window opens.

  1. Follow the steps for Updating Status.
  2. Click Save & Close to save the status update.
