Configure Cross-Reference Fields

 

If your workspace includes applications with cross-reference fields, you can configure those fields to specify from which application instance (in another workspace, for example) the field should get its data.

TO configure cross-reference fields:

  1. Navigate to the workspace for which you want to set up a workflow.
  2. Click the Gear Menu and Manage Applications.
    The Manage Applications page opens.
  1. Click Cross-Reference Fields on the Manage Applications toolbar.
    The Configure Cross-Reference Fields window opens.
  2. Select a Referencing Application from the drop-down list.
  3. Select a cross-reference field from the list of available cross-reference fields in that application.
  4. From the Workspaces with list, select a workspace containing the application (this selects that instance of the application as the data source).
  5. Click Save & Close to configure the cross-reference field.

Note: In order to configure a cross-reference field in an individual application item, you must select the Edit Item option from its action menu.
