Workspace Applications - Overview

Workspace-specific applications are designed to give project managers the tools they need in order to manage their workspaces. Some workspace-level applications have global counterparts (Tasks, Issues, Discussions, and Documents for example). Others are only found at the workspace level (Polls and News for example). Workspace applications can show relationships and dependencies between items, where global applications cannot. For example, In the workspace-level Tasks application you can view a Gantt chart that shows task dependencies.

The workspace applications available to you depend on the type of workspace you are working in, the settings that were specified when the workspace was created, and your permissions.

Move between application views using the Workspace Menu.

For example, in the Tasks application, views include Task List, Gantt Chart and Baselines:

Note: Some applications may only have one view.

To Open a workspace Application:

  1. Navigate to the workspace whose application you want to open.
  2. On the Workspace Menu, click the name of the application you want to open.
For example, to open the Documents application, click Documents and either List View or Folder View.
