About Report Licensing Options

Report licensing options control who is able to create (author) a report and are set by your PPM administrator for each user. These licenses impact the options a user sees in the Reports application. You must be licensed for a particular report authoring option in order to create reports.

The ability to view reports is controlled by PPM permissions, not by licensing options. You do not have to have a report author license to view reports created by others in your enterprise.

Note: There may be a short delay (~5 minutes) after a report licensing option is changed before the user account is affected. Having the user log out and back in will update their account immediately.

Licensing options for creating reports include:

Query Studio Author—If you are licensed as a Query Studio Author, you see the Open Query Studio option on the Reports tab toolbar. For more information about Query Studio reports, see Query Studio Overview.
