Adding Borders to a Report

 

You can add borders to objects in a report such as a column, a header, a footer, or to the whole report to improve appearance.

Note: You can also add borders using the Report Studio toolbar.

To Add Borders to a Report:

  1. Click the object to which you want to add a border.
    Note: To quickly select the parent of an object, click the object, and then click the select ancestor button  in the title bar of the Properties pane.
  2. In the Properties pane, double-click the Border property and select the values you want in the Color, Style, and Width boxes.

    Note: Specifying a width using % as the unit of measure is not supported when producing reports in PDF.
  3. Apply the selected values to the top, bottom, left side, right side, or all sides of the object by clicking the appropriate button in the Preview section.
    Note: To clear the border applied, click the clear button.
