Report Studio
Create a new template to provide report authors with a layout that they can use to create reports or they can apply to existing reports. Query Studio users can also use these templates. You can also use the template in Query Studio to define a layout for prompt pages.
When you create a new template, the Source tab is empty; you can add only report objects.
How To Create a Template:
- From the File
menu, click New.
- Click Report Template and click OK.
- Pause the pointer over
the page explorer button
and click the report page or
prompt page you want to format.
Note: To create a new report page or prompt page, click the
Report Pages or Prompt
Pages folder and drag the page to the Report Pages or Prompt Pages pane.
- From the Toolbox tab
, add the objects you want
to the work area.
Note: If you add objects that are not supported by Query Studio, the objects
will be ignored when you apply the template.
- Save the template.
