Data Model-Project Request

Note: This is a subtopic for the Data Model Project Information topic.

Only projects with a state of Request display in this query subject. Any project that does not have a state of Request will not display, even if the project has been resubmitted for approval.

• Project Name—The name of the project or project request.
  Note: Projects that were not generated from a project request are not included.
• Project Count—The total count of projects from the Project Request query subject in the report. This also provides subtotals for any groupings you include in the report. This value can change as you add or remove items that impact the number of projects in the report.
  Note: Project Count counts the unique GUID values for projects. This means that if you have 2 projects with identical names, Project Count will be 2 even though your report shows a single project name.
• Project Request Type—The project request type for the project or project request.
• Project Type—The project type of the project or project request.
• Description—The description.
• Phase—The phase of the project or project request.
• Phase Number—The phase number.
• Start Date—The start date of the project or project request.
• Start Date Groups

  Date group query items are useful for reporting trends over time. If you include a date group item and pivot your report on that item, you can see how something is trending over time.

  • Project Start Week—The start date of the week in which the project or project request start date falls.
  • Project Start Month—The start month and year in which the project or project request start date falls.
  • Project Start Quarter—The start year and quarter in which the project or project request start date falls.
  • Project Start Year—The year in which the project or project request start date falls.
• End Date—The end date of the project or project request.
• End Date Groups

  Date group query items are useful for reporting trends over time. If you include a date group item and pivot your report on that item, you can see how something is trending over time.

  • Project End Week—The start date of the week in which the project or project request end date falls.
  • Project End Month—The start month and year in which the project or project request end date falls.
  • Project End Quarter—The start year and quarter in which the project or project request end date falls.
  • Project End Year—The year in which the project or project request end date falls.
• Priority—The priority of the project or project request.
• Health—The health of the project or project request.
• State—The state of the project request.
  Note: This value is always Request for projects that display in this query subject.
• Percent Complete—The percentage complete of the project or project request.
• Owner Full Name—The owner of the project or project request.
• Manager Full Name—The manager of the project or project request.
• Approval Status—The approval status of the project or project request.
  Options are Pending, Approved, Declined, Not Required and Overridden.
• Capacity—Whether the capacity is planned or unplanned for the project or project request.
• Created On—The original date the project or project request was created.
• Updated On—The date of the most recent update.
• Comment—The comment included during the most recent update.
• Project Financials
  • Budget—The project or project request budget. This is an entered amount from the Budget field and is not calculated.
  • Estimated Expenses—The estimated expenses for the project or project request. This is an entered amount from the Estimated Expenses field and is not calculated.
  • Total Actual Labor Cost—The total actual labor cost for the project request.
  • Estimated Labor Cost—The estimated labor cost for the project or project request.
  • Estimated Labor Revenue—The estimated labor revenue for the project or project request.
  • Total Planned Labor Cost—The planned labor cost of the project or project request.
  • Total Planned Labor Revenue—The planned labor revenue of the project or project request.
  • Total Estimated Cost—The total estimated cost of the project or project request, calculated by multiplying the planned work hours by the external billing rate(s).
• Work Hours
  • Estimated Work Hours—The total of all resource requirement type hours.
  • Total Scheduled Work Hours—The total scheduled work hours.
  • Total Actual Work Hours—Total actual work hours.
  • Minutes
    • Total Scheduled Work Minutes—The total scheduled work, shown in minutes.
    • Total Actual Work Minutes—The total actual work, shown in minutes.

  • Schedule Start—Planned project or project request start date based on tasks.
  • Schedule Start Groups

  • Scheduled Finish—The planned project or project request finish, based on tasks.
  • Scheduled Duration Days—The number of calendar days between the schedule start and scheduled finish dates.
• More Information
  • Priority (numeric)—The priority as a numeric value. Options are 0 (low), 1, 2, 3 and 4 (high).
  • Health (numeric)—The health as a numeric value. Options are 0 (On Plan), 1 and 2 (In Trouble).
  • State (numeric)—The state as a numeric value. Options are 0 (Request), 1 (Not Started), 2 (In Progress), 3 (On Hold), 4 (Completed) and 5 (Cancelled).
    This field will always be 0 (Request) for every project that displays in the Project Request query subject because only projects with a state of Request (0) display.
    Note: Project requests that have moved from a State=Request stage to any other state will never return to a Request state, even if they are resubmitted for approval.
  • Approval Status (numeric)—The approval status as a numeric value. Options are 0 (Pending), 1 (Approved), 2 (Declined), 3 (Not Required) and 4 (Overridden).
  • Schedule Lock Type (numeric)—The schedule lock type (if applicable) as a numeric value.

  Note: IDs are included in the data model so you can join to other queries. Also, grouping on an ID can help separate different items with identical names.
