• Task
  • Number—The task number.
  • WBS—The work breakdown structure number of the task.
  • Task Name—The task name.
  • Task Description—The task description.
  • Priority—The task priority. Options are Low, Medium or High.
  • Planned Start—The planned start date for the task.
  • Planned Start Date Groups

    Date group query items are useful for reporting trends over time. If you include a date group item and pivot your report on that item, you can see how something is trending over time.

    • Task Planned Start Week—The start date of the week in which the task planned start date falls.
    • Task Planned Start Month—The month and year in which the task planned start date falls.
    • Task Planned Start Quarter—The year and quarter in which the task planned start date falls.
  • Planned Finish—The task planned finish date.
  • Planned Finish Date Groups

    Date group query items are useful for reporting trends over time. If you include a date group item and pivot your report on that item, you can see how something is trending over time.

    • Task Planned Finish Week—The start date of the week in which the task planned finish date falls.
    • Task Planned Finish Month—The month and year in which the task planned finish date falls.
    • Task Planned Finish Quarter—The year and quarter in which the task planned finish date falls.
  • Percent Complete—The task percent complete.
  • Task Status—The task status.
  • Current Weekly Status—The task status for the current week.
    Current Weekly Status is determined by comparing the task Percent Complete and Planned Finish or Actual Finish date with the dates of the current week. Possible resulting options are: Overdue, Due, Due Next Week, Completed and On Target.
  • Actual Start—The date on which the first work was done on the task.
    Note: This may be set to Planned Start in certain cases. See About Task Percent Complete, Actual Start and Actual Finish for more information.
  • Actual Start Date Groups

    • Task Actual Start Week—The start date for the week in which the task actual start date falls.
    • Task Actual Start Month—The month and year in which the task actual start date falls.
    • Task Actual Start Quarter—The year and quarter in which the task actual start date falls.
  • Actual Finish—The date on which the task is finished.
    Note: This may be set to Planned Finish in certain cases. See About Task Percent Complete, Actual Start and Actual Finish for more information.
  • Actual Finish Date Groups

    Date group query items are useful for reporting trends over time. If you include a date group item and pivot your report on that item, you can see how something is trending over time.

    • Task Actual Finish Week—The start date for the week in which the task actual finish date falls.
    • Task Actual Finish Month—The month and year in which the task actual finish date falls.
    • Task Actual Finish Quarter—The year and quarter in which the task actual finish date falls.
  • Start—The task start date. This is the actual start date, if one exists. If there is no actual start date, this is the planned start date of the task.
  • Finish—The task finish date. This is the actual finish date, if one exists. If there is no actual finish date, this is the planned finish date of the task.
  • Task Count—The total count of tasks in the report. This also provides subtotals for any groupings you include in the report. This value can change as you add or remove items that impact the number of tasks in the report.
    
    Note: Task Count counts the unique GUID values for tasks. This means that if you have 2 tasks with identical names, Task Count will be 2 even though your report shows a single task name.
  • Duration Hours—The task duration in hours.
  • Task Total Planned Work Hours—Total planned work hours on the task.
  • Task Total Actual Work Hours—Total approved work hours on the task.
    Note: Total Actual Work Hours for parent tasks come from child tasks. Parent tasks have no Actual Work Hours themselves. This difference may show up in summation of Actual Work.
  • Task Total Variance Work Hours—Total planned work hours - total approved work hours.
  • Task Total Planned Labor Cost—Total planned cost for the task (internal billing rate(s) * planned work hours).
  • Task Total Actual Labor Cost—Total actual labor cost for the task (internal billing rate(s) * actual work hours).
  • Task Total Planned Labor Revenue—Total planned labor revenue for the task (external billing rate(s) * planned work hours).
  • Task Parent Total Planned Labor Cost—Total planned work hours of the summary (parent) task (internal billing rate(s) * planned work hours) for each child task.
  • Task Parent Total Actual Labor Cost—Total actual labor cost of the summary (parent) task (internal billing rate(s) * actual work hours) for each child task.
  • Task Parent Total Planned Labor Revenue—The planned labor cost of the summary (parent) task (external billing rate(s) * planned work hours) for each child task.
  • ETC—The Estimate To Complete value for the task, in hours.
  • On Hold—Whether or not the task is on hold. Options are Yes or No.
  • Is Parent Task—Does the task have child tasks.
  • Is Billable—Whether or not the task is billable. Options are Yes or No.
    Note: A task can be billable only if the project it belongs to has external billing enabled.
  • Is Restricted—Whether or not viewing of the task is restricted. Options are Yes or No.
  • Approval Status—This field is unused. It will always show as Not Required.
  • Created On—The date the task was created.
  • Created By—The user who created the task.
  • Advanced Information
    • Task Type—The type of task. Options are Fixed Units, Fixed Duration and Fixed Work.
    • Effort Driven—Whether or not the task is effort-driven. Options are Yes and No.
    • Deliverable—Whether or not the task is a deliverable. Options are Yes and No.
    • Milestone—Whether or not the task is a milestone. Options are Yes and No.
    • Parent Task Name—The name of the parent task (if applicable).
    • Parent Task Item Number—The number of the parent task (if applicable).
    • Constraint Type—The constraint type for the task. Options are None, Must Finish On, Must Start On, As Soon As Possible.

    • Constraint Date—The constraint date for the task (if applicable).

  • Actual Finish—The actual finish of the task at the time of the update.
  • Incremental Work—The actual approved and unapproved work hours as recorded in work entries for the task.

  • Baseline Title—The name of the baseline.

  • Dependency—The task dependency (if any). Options are Predecessor and Successor.
  • Project Name—The name of the project to which the dependent task belongs.
  • Dependent Task Name—The name of the dependent task (if any).
  • Dependency Type—The type of dependency. Options are Finish to Start, Start to Start and Finish to Finish.
  • Is Cross Project—Whether or not the dependency is a cross-project dependency. Options are Yes and No.
  • Lag—The dependency lag.
  • IDs

• Task Filters
  • Current Week Tasks—A filter to show only tasks for the current week.
  • Tasks Overdue this Week—A filter to show tasks that are overdue as of the current week.
  • Tasks Due this Week—A filter to show tasks that are due the current week.
  • Tasks Due Next Week—A filter to show tasks that are due next week.
  • Tasks Completed this Week—A filter to show tasks that were completed the current week.
  • Unassigned Tasks—A filter to show only tasks without any assignees.
  • Overdue Tasks - Today—A filter to show tasks that are overdue today.
  • In Progress Tasks - Today—A filter to show tasks that are in progress as of today.
  • Not Started Tasks - Today—A filter to show tasks that are not started as of today.
