Adding Comments to a Timesheet
|
You can add a comment to any timesheet that you can edit.
Note: Timesheet Comments are not the same as Submit Comments, which you can add when submitting a timesheet. Timesheet comments are visible to anyone who is able to see the timesheet. Submit comments are only visible to a timesheet approver after you submit the timesheet. For more information on types of comments you can add to a timesheet, see About Timesheet Comments.
Your ability to edit a timesheet depends on your role related to the timesheet,
and the status of the timesheet:
- As timesheet owner,
you can edit a timesheet if the timesheet status is open,
overdue, or declined.
- As a project manager,
resource manager, or supervisor, you can edit a timesheet if the timesheet
status is open, overdue,
or declined.
- As a timesheet approver,
you can edit a timesheet if the timesheet status is pending.
Most often, approvers will add comments when they approve
(or decline) a timesheet, but you might also want to add comments to your
own timesheet to communicate something about the timesheet to your manager
or to a timesheet approver.
