Adding Non-Project Work to a Timesheet

 

A timesheet owner can add non-project work to their own timesheet, and a Project Manager, Resource manager, supervisor, or timesheet approver can add non-project work to another user's timesheet.

Note: There are some conditions that must be true in order for you to add non-project work to a timesheet. For details, see Adding Non-Project Work (opens in popup).

To add non-project work to a timesheet:

  1. Open the Timesheets application.
  2. Open the timesheet to which you want to add non-project work:
  3. If you are adding non-project work to your own timesheet, click My Current Timesheet, or More Views and My Timesheets

    or
  4. If you are adding non-project work to another user's timesheet, click More Views and the appropriate option and click the name (time period) of the timesheet to which you want to add the non-project work:
  5. Timesheets By Project
  6. Timesheets By Resource
  7. Timesheets Pending My Approval
  1. On the View toolbar, click Actions and Manage Non-Project Work.

    The Manage Non-Project Work window opens.
  2. All non-project work to which the user is assigned displays.
  3. Only non-project work to which the user is assigned displays.
  4. Non-project work already added to the timesheet is selected.
  5. Select the non-project work you want to add:
  6. Select Add to Current Timesheet to add the non-project work to the timesheet you are currently editing
  7. Select Always Add to Timesheet to add the non-project work to all existing and future timesheets that are not closed. Note: Selecting this also selects Add to Current Timesheet.
  8. Click Save to add the non-project work to the timesheet.
  9. Type the hours the user spent on the non-project work in the appropriate column(s) and click Save to save updates to the timesheet.
