Exporting the Enterprise Configuration

You can export your enterprise configuration to an XML file, which can then be used to help document how an enterprise is configured (the exported file is an aspx file, so is not intended for simple reading). There is no option for importing an enterprise configuration.

Enterprise information included in the exported file includes: Roles and Permissions, Workspace Types, Workspace Type Custom Fields, Workspace Type Aggregated Fields, Dynamic Applications, Skills, Skill Categories, Departments and User Custom Fields.

to export the enterprise configuration:

On the Administration Home page, under Enterprise Settings, click General Enterprise Properties.
Click Edit Properties. The Enterprise Properties screen displays.
On the Edit Properties screen, click Export Enterprise Configuration.
In the File Download dialog box, click Save.
In the Save As dialog box, navigate to the location in which to save the enterprise configuration, type a name for the file, and click Save.
