State (field)

Automatically generated/manually updated workspace field

State is initially automatically generated by PPM when a workspace or request is created.

After workspace creation (either directly, or through approval of a request), State is updated manually during a status update.

Used together with Approval Status to indicate where the workspace is in its lifecycle.

Appears:

Workspace Status/Status Update
at the workspace level
on the Executive Tab
Custom views - can be included in custom views, including Executive Investment Map views

Note: State cannot be hidden from the Update Status window.
