Filtering in the Task List or Item List

Type a string in the Filter box to filter the display in the Task List or Item List:

Items that do not match the typed string in any of the displayed* filterable fields are hidden from the list. Any selected item is automatically unselected when it is filtered out of the view. *Note: If a filterable field is not included in the display, the contents of that field is not available to the filter.

In dynamic applications, filters only apply to items that are displayed. When your dynamic application has a large enough number of items to activate paging for the list, filtering the display will not add additional items to the display. To see more qualifying items after applying a filter, click show more at the top of the list. Note: The show more link only displays if you have more items than can be initially displayed.

Task List Quick Views

You can also filter a Task List Quick View list by clicking a Quick View tab and then typing in the Filter box. The list of tasks is filtered based on a combination of the quick view you select and the string you type in the Filter box, though the number of tasks listed on the tab does not change.

Note: A selected item or task displayed in a pane will be cleared from the pane if the item/task is filtered out of view.

To reset the filters, delete the contents of the Filter box.
