Track Task Progress Using - options
The enterprise-wide Track Task Progress Using option impacts what is visible to users. It also affects how team members update progress they are making on tasks.
Configured by the administrator, options are:
- Percent
Complete—Task percent complete (% complete) field can be edited. Users
manually update percent complete to indicate work done on a task.
The ETC field is hidden throughout PPM (except in custom views
and reports).
- ETC—Estimate to complete (ETC) is visible throughout PPM. ETC is updated
automatically as users enter hours worked on a task but can be edited manually
so users can change the estimate to complete based on their
knowledge of remaining work for the task.
Task percent complete is visible to users as a view-only field and is updated automatically. (Note: Project managers and others with task edit capability can edit percent complete.)
