Adding a Milestone Task in the Task List

 

A milestone is a task that identifies a key event in the schedule. Typically, a milestone would not be assigned to any team members or have an actual task associated with it. Instead, milestones represent significant points such as the start date for a number of tasks, or the date a particular workspace phase finishes.

Note: Milestones do not impact or change the percent complete (% complete) of a schedule. Milestones are reference points marking major events in a workspace and have a duration of 0. They are not included when percent complete is calculated.
