Copying and Pasting Tasks in the Task List

Copy and paste tasks in the Task List to quickly add tasks with the same characteristics as existing tasks. Note: A pasted task does not inherit every aspect of the original, copied task. For more information, see About Copying and Pasting in the Task List.
To copy and paste tasks in the task list:
- In the Task List, select the task you want to copy.
Select a task by clicking on the task row.
Select multiple tasks by pressing the Ctrl key and clicking with your mouse to select tasks that are not side-by-side, or Shift-click to select tasks that are next to each other.
- Click the Copy icon on the Task List toolbar or Ctrl-C on your keyboard.
The selected task is copied to a PPM clipboard. (This is not the same as your computer clipboard, so copying a task will not overwrite any text you have previously copied into your local clipboard.)
- In the same Task List or a Task List for a different project, select an existing task above which you want to paste the task you copied.
Note: Where the task is added depends on .
- Click the Paste icon on the Task List chart toolbar or Ctrl-V on your keyboard.
