Linking (Relating) an Existing Item to a New Item

You can link an existing application item to a new item,
creating the new item at the same time you establish the link.
Note: When linking an existing item to a new item, you must create the new item in the same workspace as the existing item. You cannot link to a new item in a different workspace. This means that you may see different options, depending on what workspace the existing item belongs to.
TO LINK
an existing item TO A NEW ITEM:
- Open
the Item Details window for the first item you want to link.
- In the Item Details window,
click the Actions tab and choose
Relate to New Item from the Actions
list. A Create New Related Item window
displays.
- Select the type of new
item you want to create and click Next
Step.
Note: The item types you can choose from may differ from those
shown above. If your organization uses dynamic applications, you
may see item types for those applications as well.
- Create the new item. The
item type you selected affects the steps you follow when creating the
new item.
