There are times when tasks in one workspace are dependent on tasks in another workspace. To represent this, you can assign dependencies between tasks that belong to different workspaces.
When you link tasks as cross-workspace dependencies, you can see the dependent tasks from workspaces you do not manage when they are linked to tasks in your workspaces. This linkage is visible in the Gantt Chart.
Important: Even though the cross-workspace link is visible, changes to a predecessor task in another workspace will not affect the schedule of your workspace.
Define cross-workspace dependencies when you add tasks to your workspace. For more information, see Adding a Task. You can also edit cross-workspace dependencies when you edit tasks.
