Using the Dynamic Application Item List

The Item List displays dynamic application items in a customizable format and allows users to edit items in-line. (The items a user can edit depend on the permissions the user has. Users without edit permission can use the view to see items, and can customize the view based on their personal needs.)

Access to the view is from the Workspace Menu, clicking the application name and <Item Name> List, where <Item Name> is the name of the application item. For example, a dynamic application calledDelays, with individual items named "Delay", the link to the view appears as Delay List.

With appropriate permissions, use the dynamic application Item List to:

Add Items
Edit Items
Delete Items
View Items

Note: If your dynamic application has a large number of items, you may not see all the items when the Item List first opens. If a show more link appears at the top of the list, there are items that are not displayed. For more information, see Paging in the Item List.

Additional ways to use the Item List:

View/Edit Panes

You can add, edit and view items in a slide-out pane. This gives you the ability to edit fields that may not be displayed in the Item List, or to view an entire item quickly. For more information, see About Add, Edit, Update and View Panes.
