Using Global Application Tabs

Global tabs are the primary method for navigating within PPM. Each tab opens a global (cross-project) application that displays information from all your projects. A global application displays information from all the projects you belong to (or a subset, if your custom view filters information).

Clicking an application tab gives you quick access to the information you need.

Details about each global application can be found in separate help topics. See Global Applications Overview for more information.

Your access to specific tabs depends on your enterprise role. No user has access to every tab application. Some tabs are limited to a very small group of users. For example, the Executive tab is only visible to users who are given the Executive role. Other tabs are unique to organizations who create their own custom dynamic applications.

The information you see, and the format you see it in, depend on which tab you click, and on the project(s) you belong to. If you are a member of a single project, when you click the Documents tab you see the documents from the project you have access to. If you belong to multiple projects, you see your documents from all those projects. Note: You can filter the view by project.

The global tabs are designed to always be visible. You can hide tabs if you do not need to use them, and change the order in which they appear. For more information, see Customizing Your PPM Tabs.
