Using the Global Tasks Application

 

The global Tasks application is a cross-project application that gives each user quick access to all their tasks, for all of their workspaces.

Note: Your enterprise and workspace roles, and the view you use in the Tasks application control which tasks you see and what you can do with them. You may be able to view and update tasks assigned to you, tasks assigned to other PPM users, and/or tasks assigned to no one.

Note: Project managers and other users who need to manage tasks and relationships between tasks may want to use the workspace-level Tasks application which includes Task List and Gantt Chart views as well as the ability to create baseline views for comparison over time. TO use the global Tasks Application:

  1. Open the Tasks application.
    A list of your tasks displays.
    Note: For information on custom views, see Customizing Application Views.
  2. Manage a task in one of several different ways:
  3. Click the Actions icon next to a task and choose an option.

    Your options depend on your role and relationship to the task. For example, if you created the task, you may be able to edit or delete it. If you are a workspace member and were assigned to the task, your only option may be to update the task.

  4. Click the task name to open the Task Details window.
