Deleting Report Views

 

If you are the owner of a report view, you can delete the view. Deleting a report view has no impact on the base report or on any other views created from that base report. Delete a report view just as you would if you were deleting

To delete a report view:

If you are not the owner of the view, a message displays telling you that you do not have permission to delete the view.

Deleting the Base Report

If you are the owner of a report, you can delete that report, even if report views have been created from the report. Any report views created from the report are deleted when you delete the report (Note: This means that you can delete a report view by deleting the base report, even if you do not have permission to delete the view on its own.

You cannot choose leave report views in place when you are deleting a base report. This is by design and intended to eliminate unusable report views

If another user is working in a report list that includes views you delete, they may still see the view until they refresh their page. In this case, if they try to run the view, an error displays saying that the base report does not exist.
