Certain list views in PPM allow you to edit items in-line. For example, the workspace Task List view gives users with Task Edit permission (typically users with a workspace-level role of Manager) the ability to edit task fields from within the list, without requiring them to edit the task itself. For details on using these views, see Using the Task List and Using the Dynamic Application Item List.
Some fields in these list views cannot be edited. If you double-click on a field and it flashes red, this indicates that you cannot edit the field.
This may be because the field is a read-only field (task number for example), or because the nature of a particular item (for example, parent tasks include read-only fields that are editable in child tasks because in the parent task these fields are derived from the values in the child tasks). It could also be because you do not have edit permission for the item (a task or dynamic application item), or because the task schedule is locked by ProjectTransit or by another project manager.
In workspace-level editable list views (Task List and dynamic application Item List), hypertext can be included as part of a text field. For more information, see About Hyperlinks in Text Fields.
Note: Hyperlinks in text fields treat a space as the end of the link.
