Editing Folder Details for a Report

You can edit the name, screen tip or location of a folder.
To Edit folder Details:
- Navigate to the Edit Details
window.
- From the Report
List actions menu
select Edit
Details.
- From the Report
Details Window action menu select Edit
Details.
- Edit the information you
want to change:
- Name—The name of
the folder.
- Screen
Tip—Text
that appears when users hover over the folder name in the report list.
- Location—This shows
where the folder is currently located in the report list and allows you
to move the folder.
To move the folder:
- Click Change location.
The location information expands. The current location is listed above
the folder names (if applicable).
- Select where
you want to move the folder to. You can select Public
Folders, My Folders or
any folder within those areas.
Your permissions for the folder impact what happens when
you "move" the folder:
- If you are the owner, the folder is moved to the
new location.
- If you are not the folder owner, a copy of the folder is
made in the new location. When a folder copy is created by changing the
location, there is no link between the original folder and the copy. Any
change to one has no impact on the other.
Important:
If you move a folder to My Folders, no other user will be able to see
or access the folder or the reports in the folder.
- Click the
Save and Close button.
- Description—A description
of the folder.
- Click Save
and Close.
