Exporting Tasks from the Task List

Use the Export Tasks option in the Task List toolbar to export your tasks in Microsoft Excel format. This can be useful if you want to compare the exported schedule with a changed PPM schedule. Task Export creates a Microsoft Excel file (.XLSX).
Task Export follows the following conventions:
- Only those tasks that are visible in the Task List are exported.
- Expanded tasks (parent/child hierarchies) are exported.
- Collapsed tasks (hidden) are not exported.
- Only visible columns are exported.
- Columns are exported in the order they appear in the Task List.
TO Export TASKS FROM the Task List:
- Navigate to the
workspace
for which you want to import tasks.
- On the Tasks List, click Export Tasks. Note: This is only available if there are tasks visible.
- Your next step depends on the browser you are using and how you have it configured. You may be prompted to save the file (Internet Explorer) or the file may be downloaded automatically. Locate and double-click the file to open it in Excel.
