Custom View Wizard - Summary Calculations

 

In the Summary Calculations step of the Custom View wizard, specify any summary calculations you want to include in the view. Workspace fields cannot be aggregated on item-specific custom views.

Note: You are not required to define summary calculations, even if your view includes fields that can be aggregated.

Summary calculations are only an option of you chose to include application fields that can be aggregated (added, averaged, calculated minimum or maximum). If your view includes fields that can be aggregated, you have the option to also include summary calculations for each grouping level you defined in the previous step.

TO define summary calculations:

  1. For each field you want summarized, select the calculation(s) that should be performed and displayed:
    Note:
    An option is unavailable if that calculation cannot be performed on a particular field.
  1. Sum—To total the values of a field and include that total in a group summary, select Sum.
  2. Average—To calculate the average value of a field and include that value in a group summary, select Average.
  3. Min—To calculate the minimum value of a field and include that value in a group summary, select Min.
  4. Max—To calculate the maximum value of a field and include that value in a group summary, select Max.
  1. Click Next Step to continue, or Previous Step to go back to the previous step.
    Note:
    If you are editing an existing view, you can click Skip To and go to a specific step in the wizard.
